Luncheon with a Twist!
Staurday, September 27, 2008

by : Billie Ching-Syling ('77)

September 27, 2008 was truly a special day!  It was not only because of a luncheon in honor of the Silver Jubilarians (batch ’83) and their co hosts (classes ‘58, ‘63, ‘68, ‘73, ‘78, ‘88, ‘93, ‘98, ’03 and ‘08); it was not because of the highly-anticipated mooncake dice game either.  It was mainly due to the fact that the ICAAA officers decided to hold a surprise feast for Sr. Teresita Canivel, ICA’s Finance and Development Administrator, who was turning 80 (based on the Chinese calendar) on Sept. 30th.  Sr. Tere was also our former High School Principal and School Directress.

The current ICAAA officers and past ICAAA presidents had divided the list of batch representatives weeks before so that we could personally call them and ask for their cooperation to attend this joyous event.  Majority came in full force to greet our celebrant.  Jullie Yap-Daza and Dr. Lourdes Kho-Samson were some of our VIPs who graced the occasion.

After the luncheon and the singing of the birthday song, many still stayed behind to play the mooncake dice game.

Sr. Tere, we love you and may you have many more birthdays to celebrate with us!
